Pros & cons of working from home vs working from the office

No commuting

No commuting back and forth to work means more time spent sleeping, having breakfast or spending time with family in the morning, instead of being stuck in traffic.

Flexibility

Working from home means you control your work flow. Obviously you must keep in contact with your office workers and sometimes plan accordingly to them but, still there is much more freedom compared to a typical office day. However this depends on how much decipline you have to not take advantage of your freedom.

Dress code

Working from home means no dress code. Wear what you want. although this could affect the productivity of work as you are mentaly dressing for comfort. Working in an office where you must dress smart makes you more productive as you are dressed for profesionalism.

Working enviroment

As a remote worker, you do not always control your workplace. when you are trying to focus at home, there are sometimes unexpected distraction that lower your efficiency. for example. construction work, children, pets ect. whereas working in an office where the enviroment is built around only work gives you the focus you need to complete daily tasks.

The decision is yours..

You have to weigh your options and decide what is best for you. Are you dicsiplined enough to work from home. are you capable to work indipendently without the help of your co-workers? both options have their advantages and disadvantages. It all depends on you!
